To start accepting payments and receiving payouts on Cashify, you'll need to create and link a Stripe Express account to your Cashify profile. This guide will walk you through the entire setup process step-by-step.

Before You Begin

What You'll Need

  • A valid email address

  • Mobile phone for two-factor authentication

  • Government-issued ID or Social Security Number (SSN)

  • Bank account details or debit card for payouts

  • Business Tax ID (EIN) if you operate as a registered business

Important Requirements to Note

⚠️ Critical: Country Selection

  • Choose your country carefully during setup—this cannot be changed after selection

  • Select the country where you legally operate and file taxes

  • Incorrect selection may require creating a new account

⚠️ Industry Classification

  • When asked about your business industry, DO NOT select gambling or high-risk categories

  • Selecting restricted industries will place an immediate hold on your account

  • Choose the category that best describes your actual business activities

⚠️ Business Type Decision

  • Individual/Sole Proprietor: Use this if you operate under your own name with your SSN

  • Business Entity: Use this if you have a registered LLC, Corporation, or Partnership with an EIN

Step-by-Step Setup Instructions

Step 1: Initiate Stripe Connection

  1. Log in to your Cashify account

  2. Complete your Cashify profile setup (username, display name, etc.)

  3. Click on "Start Selling" or "Create Product"

  4. You'll be automatically prompted to connect with Stripe

Step 2: Review and Accept Terms

  1. Review the information about what you'll need for setup

  2. Read the Stripe Connected Account Terms

  3. Check the box to agree to Stripe's terms of service

  4. Click "Connect to Stripe"

Step 3: Enter Contact Information

  1. Input your mobile phone number (used for security verification)

  2. Enter the email address associated with your Cashify account

  3. Click "Continue"

Step 4: Complete Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Check your phone for an SMS message from Stripe

  2. Enter the verification code you received

  3. Click "Verify"

Step 5: Select Your Country

  1. Choose your country from the dropdown menu

  2. Double-check this selection—it cannot be changed later

  3. Click "Continue"

Step 6: Choose Your Business Type

Select the option that applies to you:

Option A: Individual/Sole Proprietor

  • You operate under your personal name

  • You'll use your Social Security Number (SSN)

  • Income is reported on your personal tax return

Option B: Registered Business

  • You have an LLC, Corporation, or Partnership

  • You have a business Tax ID (EIN)

  • Your business files separate tax returns

Step 7: Provide Personal Information

  1. Enter your legal first and last name (must match government ID)

  2. Input your date of birth

  3. Provide your home address (residential, not PO Box)

  4. Enter your Social Security Number or Tax ID

  5. Review all information for accuracy

  6. Click "Continue"

Step 8: Add Your Payout Method

You have two options for receiving payments:

Option A: Connect Your Bank Account (Recommended)

  1. Click "Connect Bank Account"

  2. Search for your bank name or select from the list

  3. Log in to your bank through the secure portal

  4. Authorize the connection

  5. Your bank may require additional verification (app notification, security questions)

Option B: Enter Bank Details Manually

  1. Select "Enter Details Manually"

  2. Input your routing number

  3. Enter your account number

  4. Confirm account type (checking or savings)

Option C: Use a Debit Card

  1. Select "Debit Card"

  2. Enter your card number, expiration date, and CVV

  3. Confirm the billing address

Step 9: Review and Submit

  1. Carefully review all information you've entered

  2. Make any necessary corrections

  3. Check the box to agree to final terms

  4. Click "Agree and Submit"

Step 10: Verify Your Setup

  1. You'll be redirected back to Cashify

  2. You should see a confirmation message that Stripe is connected

  3. Check for a welcome email from Stripe (may take a few minutes)

Setting Up Your Product

  1. Navigate to "My Products" or click "Create Product"

  2. Enter your product name and description

  6. Click "Create My Product" to publish

Payment Settings

  • Your payouts will automatically be sent to your connected bank account

  • Standard payout timing is 2-7 business days after a sale

  • You can view all transactions in your Cashify dashboard


Troubleshooting Common Issues

"My country is incorrect"

Unfortunately, the country selection cannot be changed after setup. You'll need to contact Stripe support to discuss options, which may include creating a new account.

"My account is on hold"

This typically happens if a restricted industry was selected. Contact Stripe support immediately to review your account classification.

"I can't connect my bank"

  • Try entering your bank details manually instead

  • Ensure your bank supports ACH transfers (US) or local payment methods

  • Contact your bank to ensure there are no restrictions on third-party connections

"Two-factor authentication isn't working"

  • Verify your phone number is correct and can receive SMS

  • Check if your phone carrier is blocking automated messages

  • Try requesting the code again after a few minutes

"My information was rejected"

  • Ensure all names match your government-issued ID exactly

  • Verify your address is current and formatted correctly

  • Check that your SSN or Tax ID was entered without errors
